Milwaukee's 95-57 record vastly outclasses Pittsburgh's 75-77. A log5 calculation on those winning percentages (.625 vs .494) gives the Brewers ~63% on a neutral field; subtracting standard home-field edge (~4%) yields ~59%. I discount this for two factors: Logan Henderson is a rookie depth starter rather than one of the aces who built that record, while Braxton Ashcraft is a competent big-league arm, and a likely-clinched Milwaukee may rest regulars in mid-September. Those considerations pull me down to roughly 56%, modestly above the market's ~53% but grounded in the clear talent gap.

Milwaukee is the stronger team overall (95-57 vs 75-77), which would usually make them a clearer favorite even on the road. But Pittsburgh is at home, and the listed starters narrow the gap somewhat: Henderson is not an established ace in my information set, while Ashcraft is at least a plausible competent home starter. With no lineup/injury details available, I regress toward 50% rather than lean too hard on team records alone. Net: Brewers still more likely than not, but only modestly.

The Brewers (95-57, away) are significantly better than the Pirates (75-77, home). Despite home field advantage typically worth ~3-4%, the Brewers' superior record suggests they're the stronger team. Sportsbook implies ~53% for Brewers. The 20-game record differential supports Brewers being favored. I estimate ~54% probability for Milwaukee, slightly above the sportsbook implied figure, consistent with their strong season performance.
